Trine

A trine is the 120° aspect connecting planets in the same element — like having a tailwind for whatever those planets represent.

Think of a trine like a river that knows exactly where to go. No rocks, no rapids — just a smooth current carrying your boat forward. In the chart, it connects planets in the same element (fire, earth, air, water), so they already speak the same language. These are your inborn gifts, the things that come so naturally you might not even realize they're special. In transits, a trine is a green light day. You wake up and everything just works. But here's the catch: because it's so easy, sometimes we coast. I always tell clients to use trine windows intentionally — the wind is at your back, so steer the damn boat.

Example

When transiting Venus trines your natal Jupiter, you might find a twenty in your coat pocket and get a surprise dinner invite from a friend who insists on paying.

How Today Astro Report uses it

In your daily report, a trine shows up as a gentle nudge — a day where a little effort gets amplified. It's the universe whispering 'go for it' instead of screaming.

Common misconceptions

The biggest myth? That trines are always 'good.' Sure, they're easy — but ease can make you lazy. A trine is a gift you still have to unwrap.
