Sextile

A sextile is a 60° angle between planets that creates a friendly nudge—an open door you still have to walk through. It's opportunity, but initiative is the key.

Think of a trine as a downhill bike ride—pedaling optional. A sextile is more like a flat path with a tailwind. You've got to pedal, but you'll coast further than usual with the same effort. In your chart or a transit, a sextile is that friend who says, "Hey, you should apply for that job, you're perfect." The door's open, the timing's good, but you still have to send the email.

Example

Mercury sextile your Mars? Your words have extra punch today—perfect for finally asking for that raise.

How Today Astro Report uses it

When Today Astro Report spots a transiting sextile, we highlight it as a green light. It's not a guarantee, but it's a great moment to take a small risk.

Common misconceptions

Sextiles aren't just 'minor' trines. They're active, not passive—without your effort, they're just potential gathering dust.
