Synastry

Synastry is the art of comparing two birth charts to see what happens when their planetary energies mix—where you click, where you clash, and what you stir in each other.

Imagine taking your friend's chart and laying it over yours like tracing paper. Suddenly, their Mars lands in your seventh house, or their Moon lines up with your Venus. That's synastry. It's not about whether you're 'meant to be'—it's more like getting the weather forecast for your connection. Some days are sunny, some stormy, and some just need an umbrella. I use it for all kinds of relationships: lovers, siblings, coworkers. It shows me why you might finish each other's sentences or why that one person always pushes your buttons. The aspects tell the story. A Sun-Venus conjunction? Warm, affectionate, easy. A Saturn-Moon clash? That's the heavy weight that needs talking out. It doesn't doom anything—it just points to where you'll need to build muscle together.

Example

If your Venus is hugging their Sun, you've got that effortless spark; if your Saturn is locking horns with their Moon, you're looking at some long-term emotional homework.

How Today Astro Report uses it

We use synastry in our Compatibility reports to show you exactly where you and someone else will hum along and where you'll need to bring a toolbox.

Common misconceptions

Synastry doesn't hand out destiny cards. It's just the operating manual—what you do with it is still up to you.
